    My son also repeatedly asked for killing in his bedtime stories. But I thought at the time (??) that what he really wanted was to see mortal danger overcome, so the hero of the stories always miraculously survived the big jaws, falls, crashes etc- just like TV cartoon characters.

    I wonder why young kids so often ask for this!?
